Awards & Destinations.
Our Awards & Destinations programme is there to help you kickstart your employability journey, if you are thinking about a career in a vocational industry such as construction, mechanics, childcare or beauty this might be the right course for you. You can try out learning in a training centre before you leave school, gain some industry led qualifications that will help you access training courses or college when you do leave school. The Awards & Destinations Programme has been designed for Glasgow school pupils who are at risk of leaving school with little or no qualifications.
Awards & Destinations is the service for you if:
- You attend a Glasgow Secondary School
- Are in S3-S6
- You have an idea of what career you would like to pursue but need some training, skills, and qualifications to help you succeed when you leave school.
- You don’t know what career you would like to pursue and would benefit from gaining some training taster sessions to help you decide what you would like to do.
What does Awards & Destinations offer?
- Awards & Destinations provide a wide range of hands-on practical training courses
- We work with some of Glasgow’s top training providers to help you develop new skills, gain industry led qualifications and experience learning in a real training centre.
- We also have an Employability Skills Training course to help you create a CV, work on your interview skills, and build your confidence.
- The team will help you to find the right course to move onto at the end of each programme

- Speak to your school DYW Co-Ordinator advisor to refer you for a space on one of the Awards & Destinations Programmes.
